Laser Clinic i påsken 2020

Fra 4. til 11. april 2020 arrangerer Norges Seilforbund Laser Clinic i Malcesine i Italia. Treningsleiren vil bli holdt tilknytning til «Laser Youth Easte Meeting»-regattaen. Leiren er for seilere i alle de tre Laser-klassene med en rekke internasjonale trenere.

Her er nærmere opplysninger om Laser Clinic in Malcesine:

Last year participation have been from different countries as: NOR, EST, FIN, SWE, CRO, ITA, GER, AUT, HUN, RUS and so on.

There is limited number of attendees: first come- first serve base. Entry fee must be paid at Manage2Sail in conjunction with entry details otherwise the entry will be refused. Entry closes January 5 2020.

COACHES:

Peer Moberg is a Norwegian sailor and Olympic medalist. He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, where he received a bronze medal in the Laser class. Peer is currently coaching for the Norwegian Sailing Federation.

Milosz Wojewski Current position as Coach at SailCoach Foundation.

Miłosz has a Masters Degree in Sailing Coaching from the Polish Academy of Physical Education and Sport. He started sailing from an early age working his way through a number of youth classes to completing two Olympic campaigns in the Finn class. He has been a member of the Polish Olympic Team from 2008 to 2016. Miłosz finished second at the 2011 Finn Junior Worlds, and he was also a regular top 20 sailor in the Sailing World Cup events. When he is not sailing the Finn, he can be seen ice boats racing where he has been World Champion at Junior level. As well as his native Polish he speaks advanced English and elementary level Russian.

Gintare Volungeviciute – Scheidt: Sailing more then 25 years, optimist, europe class and laser radial. When the laser radial became an olympic class, I won silver medal in Beijing Olympics 2008. First ever sailing medal for Lithuania. I got married to Robert Scheidt, and had my first kid. I came back to get ready for London Olympics. In 2012 I win my laser radial world champion title in Boltenhagen, Germany. London Olympics I finished in 6th place. Had my second child and came back for Rio Olympics 2016 finishing in 7th place.

Robert Strange began his sailing career in the Opti, later moved on to the Europe dinghy. He then focused on Laser where he sailed at the World Cup Level including multiple World Championships. He later pursued coaching as his career choice to share his extensive knowledge and utilize his passion for helping others sail better.
Robert is currently the Head Coach for the Swedish Laser Class Association and the Royal Swedish Yacht Club Laser Olympic Challenge Squad. He also authored the Laser Guide developed for the Swedish Sailing Federation.
Robert has extensive experience coaching the Laser class with Olympic level, youth and masters sailors. His outgoing and contagious personality put forward a positive, energetic and effective learning environment for all sailors who work with him.

His athletes have WC Gold Europe class 1985, Olympics Silver Flying Dutchman 1988, 4th Olympics 470 1992, Olympics Bronze Finn class 1996, Olympics Gold RS: X 2000, Olympics Silver Laser 1992.

ENTRY FEE: Early bird fee 420 EUR before December 24. Not so early fee- 470 EUR (until January 6.)

Please note! If the number of participants is less than expected, we might reduce the number of coaches on the Clinic.

The Clinic does NOT include the following:

  • Participation fee for the regatta
  • Any other possible fees charged by the local Yacht Club
  • Transport to Malcesine and back
  • Accommodation
  • Meals
